Recent projects (chronological):
1. Secure Localization and Its Applications for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks and Sensor Networks
I think location is rudimentary to wireless networks, and I want to make the localization more secure and ready to be deployed in real world scenarios. Only a few works (20-30 Papers, in 2007), directly involving the secure localization of ad hoc networks and sensor networks appeared in the literature; however this topic has a blooming research publications.
2. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs)
I joined the sensor network group of Prof. Cao in May 2008, and I worked in the project "Traffic Safety and Information Management with Wireless Sensor Network" with other members. In this project, we aim at developing a platform and associated protocols for building and deploying high performance WSNs for Intelligent Transportation System. Specifically, we try to develop theoretical and experimental models for vehicle detection, collision avoidance, route selection, traffic light controlling with wireless sensor networks. We mainly developed in the TinyOs environment. I was one of the main contributors in coding the platform.
Previous projects (They produce some native publications (CDBLP)):
1. Developed a web based management system for monitor security devices such as Firewall,IDS. (role: group member)(2003.10-2005.1).
2. Developed the Nanda Security Management Platform (NDSMP) for the management of security devices. (role: group member, and become technical project leader from 2006.3) (2005.3-2007.12) This project is partially supported by Jiangsu Province Science & Technology Department's high technology plan (industry part).
